Frequently asked questions before choosing a filling line
Which filling line should I choose for small-scale production?
For small production volumes, from approximately 500 bottles or 3,000 cans per production run, semi-automatic solutions with a lower initial investment are often suitable. As production grows, the line can be upgraded or expanded with automated modules.
What is the difference between can filling and bottle filling?
Can filling and bottle filling require different equipment, with different filling mechanics, different closing systems - can seaming versus bottle cap or cork - and different requirements for the production facility.
Do I need an isobaric filling line for carbonated beverages?
Not always. For beverages with a high level of carbonation, isobaric filling - such as CIMEC solutions - helps minimize CO₂ loss.
However, for beer, kombucha and other beverages with a CO₂ level up to approximately 5.6 g/l, non-isobaric cold filling - for example, EMMA machines - can provide acceptable quality at a significantly lower equipment cost.
